Multinational aerospace manufacturing joint venture projects have many high riskcharacteristics such as high technical and quality requirements, a large amount offunds, long product life cycle and long return on investment cycle. The immaturity ofChina’s aviation manufacturing industry is exacerbated the risk of C919related jointventure projects. In this paper, by analyzing the risk characteristics of aerospace JVprojects, a method of based on analytic network process (ANP) and Monte Carlosimulation is utilized to research on the aerospace industry JV projects risks. There arefour major contents, and the conclusions are as follows:(1) Analyze and compare the common project risk identification and assessmentmethodologies. The applications are focused on the theory of AHP, ANP and MonteCarlo simulation.(2) By using the entire project life cycle theory, based on the data of survey, theaviation manufacturing joint venture project is divided into four phases. Andbreak down each phase structure and risk identification.(3) Based on the project WBS&RBS, the important construction anddevelopment phase of JV project is analyzed in detail by using ANP theory. Makeaerospace JV projects multiple criteria structural model. The solution to resolve therisk factors weight vectors is studied in detail. At the same time the process of riskanalysis based on ANP is presented.(4) Using Monte Carlo simulation and earned value analysis to study the riskresponse and risk control which is benefit to risk management of aviationmanufacturing joint venture project in China.
