Research On Regional Economic Disparity Based On The Spatial Economic Model

Regional economic disparity has always been a hot research for scholars at homeand abroad, if the regional economic disparity is too large, it will be bad for thedevelopment of regional economy, and even intensifies social contradictions, andcauses social turbulence, and be bad for national economy health to develop quickly.So it is very important to research the regional economic disparity in depth. However,most of the scholar’s research focuses on the eastern developed areas, few of themresearch west, it is lesser to research on the west of traffic economic belt of economicdisparities, but it is very important to the coordinated development of regionaleconomy. Lan-Xin Railway is the only railroad lines which connect Xinjiang withother inland provinces; it is the important part of North West region railway network.It is good for function of develop railway transportation that is in action of regioneconomy developing. It has important realistic meaning for enhancing thecomprehensive national power of our country and reducing regional economicdisparity. So researching the regional economic disparity of Lan-Xin RailwayRadiation Belt, that is advantageous to the provinces along the railway lineestablishing the correct development strategy, which can promote sound and rapiddevelopment of economy.In this paper, by means of sorting out the domestic and international economicdisparity related literature, it systematically introduces the relevant theory and methodof regional economic disparity. Using spatial analysis method determines the radiationscope of Lan-Xin Railway Radiation Belt. By means of analyzing the timecharacteristic in Lan-Xin Railway Radiation Belt, finding that the absolute disparityof Lan-Xin Railway Radiation Belt shows increasing year after year with the rangeand standard deviation, the relative disparity shows first decreasing and thenincreasing trend with coefficient of variation. Through analyzing the spatialcharacteristic in Lan-Xin Railway Radiation Belt, finding that from county-leveladministrative unit quantity, the rank of county economy basically presents “pyramid”,The economic development shows unbalance phenomenon. The basic spatialdifferentiation trend of regional economic development shows decreasing trend fromwest to east, and decreasing trend from north to south. Lanzhou city and Urumqi citylie in the hot zone, blind spot area mainly distributes in the southeast part of theLan-Xin Railway Radiation Belt. Using spatial autocorrelation analysis, I find that there is aggregationphenomenon in the regional economic development level of Lan-Xin RailwayRadiation Belt. It has spatial dependence, considering the spatial effects; this paperintroduces spatial econometric models. Firstly, this paper analyses the influencingfactors of regional economic disparity from the angle of constant coefficients, bycomparing the results of the Ordinary Least Squares Model, Spatial Lag Model andSpatial Error Model, this paper chooses the Spatial Lag Model. Because the AICvalues of three models differ by less than3, indicating that the three model’s ability isquite to explain the fact, then considering the use of Spatial Varying-CoefficientRegression Model, this paper chooses Geographically Weighted Regression Model,by means of the comparison of CV method and AIC method results, this paper choosethe space nuclear for adaptive of AIC method.This paper analyses affecting factors of regional economic disparity by means ofthe constant Coefficient Regression Model and Spatial Varying-CoefficientRegression Model, finding that the fitting degree of the GWR model is the biggest,the AIC value is the least, the GWR model is the best. The influencing factors ofregional economic disparity exist spatial nonstationarity, per capita fixed assetinvestment, the number of hospital and hospital beds in million, per capital grossregional product, all of them exist disparities in different areas. The affecting factorsof social development situation, investment level, economic strength, and economicstructure, all of them codetermine the spatial pattern in Lan-Xin Railway RadiationBelt.
