| The Villages is a special phenomenon in China’s unique urban and ruraleconomic and social system and cultural background, due to the rapid advance ofurbanization. In recent years, the villages problem has increasingly become adiscordant factor in urban economic and social development, a serious impediment tothe sustainable development of cities, must be reform, the progressive realization ofurban and rural integration. However, the transformation of villages is a complexsystem works, it is not only related to the special problems of demolition, resettlementcompensation and the population of household registration, land ownership changes,but also with the government administrative capacity, financial strength, urbanplanning and social management such factors are closely related.In this paper, and learn from the theory of the transformation of villages at homeand abroad on the basis of the actual situation, combined with Lanzhou City, on theXigu the transformation of villages in a more systematic study.
