Nowadays, there are lots of competitors in vehicle Wire harnessmarket. Advantage gap become not obviously than before. In this case,the point of manufacture ability becomes less and less important thatbelongs to the advantages of a company. Only if company change oldmode, and apply new operation way, competition advantage can beimproved, it means that company should apply new technology.Thus, the thesis did the research of vehicle wire harness feature ofindustry&product, and analyzed the demands of Growing trend, Masscustomization, Modular Design, Personalized demand, pointed out thatSupply-In-Sequence mode is the solution for mass customization under BTO mode demand. The cost of whole supply chain can be reducedthrough Supply-In-Sequence mode, both customer and supplier can getadvantage form this mode, and get win-win situation from price gameplight.Chapter1stated the Delphi Packard’s overview and capability.Chapter2illustrated Delphi Packard’s current situation, and analyzedwire harness industry feature&product feature. Chapter3analyzedcustomer demand and industry trend, and some demand characteristic.Chapter4stated the actions taken by Delphi Packard in past years.Chapter5analyzed the5-force of industry and SWOT of DelphiPackard.Chapter6stated the BTO mode, Modular production mode. Afterimplement Supply-In-Sequence mode, analyzed the result of reducingthe cost and enhancing market threshold after Delphi Packard applySupply-in-Sequence mode. This mode also can satisfy the personalizeddemand of vehicle market.Chapter7stated the steps of applying Supply-in-Sequence mode,and some basic capability requirement before implement the mode.PBTO system and old production line transformation are necessary. The thesis also point out that Supply-in-Sequence mode can not onlybeen applied in wire harness field. The key point is to analyze theproduct feature and demand feature. Then do Modular design to satisfythe personalized demand, to reduce cost of supply chain. Also point outthe practical significance for many products and field.
