Research On Internet-EDI Platform Based On The Integrated Supply-Chain Information Model

Supply chain integration of information resources has been one of the most effectivemeans for the companies to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. As Internettechnologies continue in-depth developing, all businesses must face how to implementsupply chain information integration effectively. Varying degrees of different enterpriseinformation, business processes and organizational relationships made supply chaincollaboration a very difficult thing. So, research on the supply chain Internet-based EDIplatform has great theoretical and practical significance to improve corporate informationlag, simplify trade procedures, reduce costs, improve the competitiveness of enterprisesand strengthen trade cooperation.According to the supply chain information integration model, the SC-IPSC (SupplyChain-Information Pass Share and collaborative) mode is proposed in the paper, fromthree dimensions of information delivery, information sharing and collaborative analysingthe information integration, building the EDI platform is an effective way to implementindustrial chain resource integration, information sharing and the upstream anddownstream synergies.Focusing on supply chain collaboration Internet-EDI Platform, thestandards to be followed to build Internet-EDI platform are described, system architectureand functionality of the platform are analyzed and designed.In the supply chain, different countries, industries and enterprises often use differenttransport protocols and pecification of business documents for synergistic manner, and theplatform should be compatible with these standards in order to ensure the supply chaineco-system can be effectively linked. So, how to build Internet-EDI framework supportingmulti-modes of communication and different business documents to achieve the synergyof information between different enterprises is showed in the paper, and the appropriatedesign and implementation of ideas are given. In addition, the security issues of supplychain information integration have been analyzed, to ensure coordination of informationsecurity from architecture and data dimensions. Finally, the internal platform interface hasbeen analyzed and designed, which has provided the interact implementation betweenback-office systems and Internet-EDI platform.
