Lean production (LP) thinking comes from Japan Toyota motor corporation. Its essenceis the elimination of all waste. This method aim at “zero inventory†and the maximum profit,which achieved through Just in time, Kanban management, equipment management of TPM, strengthening inventory management etc.The six sigma management originated in the United States MOTOROLA company, its core idea is to reduce the variation. In order to find primary cause of variation and corrective measure, this method uses a large number of probability and mathematical statistics tool and bases on the customer’s real needs and data and facts collected in production process.Along with the development of management science, management and enterprise circlesfound that two ways both have its advantage and disadvantage. It’s one of management research topics that complementing each way’s advantages. For that reason, in this paper, continuous casting equipment of state-owned iron and steel company is the main study object. Implement lean six sigma in maintenance process of continuous casting equipment to summarize the theory and practical application. As continuous casting machine production line’s equipment vibration table and bending section were in poor quality, which leading to premature discard, thecompany establish lean six sigma improvement group. Firstly, research service condition of steelmaking and continuous casting equipment. Secondly, measure system analysis, capability analysis, Causal matrix analysis and potential failure mode and effects analysis. Thirdly, find out the real reason and effective measure and implement measure. Finally, evaluate and keep the results. Through the project team’s efforts, improvement project has obtained the remarkableeffect. |
