Brazil, the Federative Republic of Brazil, is the largest of the Latin Americancountries, whose economic strength ranking first in Latin America. From Portugalruled period to now more than400years, most of the time it was famous for “singleproduct economy” at the world state. But after the Second World War, it has changed from aprimary products export oriented agricultural country gradually into a processing andassembly industry as the main export industry agriculture national. During1968-1974,“miracle of Brazil economy” was attained after that of Japan and Germany. After theSecond World War, especially since1970’s Brazil’s economy has grown rapidly.Although it belongs to developing country group, it keeps many features of developedeconomy.This paper, with Latin America representative countries--Brazil as the researchobject, attempted to study the adaptability and validity of the existing developmentmode of Brazil to a certain extent, thus to explain the problems and the reasons of theeconomic development of Brazil. Thereby to provide a pricing reference value toother Latin America countries with the same or similar development pattern as well asthe export pattern of Brazil as well as China’s economic development.The advantages or disadvantages of a country’s development model can be reflectedby examining its export commodities technical structure. Based on the study ofexisting literature, referring and improving the other scholars’ clear and quantifiablemeasure of a country’s exports technology methods, this paper calculated the level ofthe SITC three bit code of260kinds of product technology content, and on this basiswith the aid of some index value--i.e. horizontally comparison of the country’stechnical structure distribution of export trade, the country’s export trade trends in thewhole technology level and the structure of export trade index to study the Brazilexport commodities technical structure changes. Finally, this paper studied thedynamic panel data model on the Brazil different technology exports influence oneconomic growth, to provide some inspiration to other countries in Latin America andChina.
