Production yield rate is a very important index for supplier qualitymanagement during the stage of new product introduction. Production yieldrate goal setting is very challenging work, which needs a scientific method.Because it is a systematic process, full of complexity but very important, theproduction yield rate is closely related to the production capacity planning,reasonable production yield rate goal can help companies perform goodcapacity planning. If the yield goal set too high, will affect the time of newproduct launch, and will further affect the enthusiasm of the supplier; while ifthe yield rate goal set too low, it will not effective for supplier qualitymanagement, will also affect the quality of launched products, bringing somequality risk to the brand company.This paper built a model for production yield rate during new productionintroduction stage in suppliers of company A. Firstly, we described thesupply chain quality management challenge brought by the evaluation of electronic manufacturing service industry, and focused on its reflection onproduction yield management issue, then this paper described the currentstatus of supplier quality management in company A, as well as the limitationon current yield rate goal setting. To analyze these problems we establishedthe statistic model, got some optimized goal setting methods, which couldgive company A some reference to improve their current production yieldrate goal setting issue.The structure of this paper is as below: Chapter1introduced theresearch background to raise the problem, chapter2conducted literaturesreview to review current research in supplier quality management area,chapter3described the current status of supplier quality management andlimitation on supplier production yield rate goal setting issue in Company A,then in chapter4I utilized ANOVA statistics method to find which factor issignificantly affect actual production yield rate during new productsintroduction stage, did some analysis and made some conclusion accordingto that, then based on this analysis chapter5we used SPSS analysis softwareto establish the classification tree model, and got the optimized productionyield rate goal setting methods for some specific product of company A. Ingeneral, this paper using classification tree to research on the production yield rate goal setting issue, bring an effective approach of qualitymanagement work.
