Facing the condition that the mobile internet service grows fast while thefixed-line business falls down continuously, China Telecom promoted itsown mobile application store-E Surfing Space to penetrate the mobileinternet market. As a new business, E Surfing Space has no clear profitmodel, no business model and no idea of how to compete in the market. Thisthesis will focus on these problems and provide developing strategies forChina Telecom to enhance E Surfing Space’s profit ability.In this thesis, I will firstly analyze the external and competition factorswhich will affect the profit space of mobile application store market in China.Then comes to the internal part to figure out the advantages anddisadvantages for China Telecom to develop this business. Combining abovetow parts together, we will get the developing strategies and the competingstrategy. In order to learn what the best practice for mobile application storeis, I will compare the profit models and business models of App Store, NokiaOvi Store, Mobile Market and NTTDOCOMO imodel etc...Then I will giveout the proper business model of E Surfing Space. Finally, I will try todecomposition the whole implementing plan.As the research result of this thesis, firstly, China Telecom should takeSynergy Business Strategy, Diversified Growing Strategy and Service Alliance Strategy to develop E Surfing Space. Secondly, China Telecomshould enforce the customer and supplier service to build up the businessmodel of E Surfing Space. Thirdly, China Telecom should keep ontransferring the fixed-line and broadband users into the mobile business usersof E Surfing brand to enhance the integrated profitability of China Telecom.
