| With the rapid development of container transport industry in China, the competition for supply is increasingly fierce. The phenomenon that vicious price competition-. repeated construction of the same function port results a waste of our limited shoreline resources. As a container port, Shenzhen port has made outstanding contributions for the development of China’s container shipping business. Shenzhen port ranks No.2for15consecutive years in China’s port container throughput, and ranks No.4for9consecutive years among the world container port throughput. In order to give full play to the advantages in container transportation of Shenzhen Western Port area, expand development space for ports, and promote the development of large-scale^intensive container port, Da Chan Bay Terminal One emerges precisely. However, in compared with SCT and CCT container terminal, the competitive advantage is obviously insufficient. Therefore, from the point of efficiency evaluation, we evaluate the development situation of Da Chan Bay Terminal One.In this paper, we use DEA-CCR model. At the same time, we select the data of six ports which has substantially scale and function with Da Chan Bay Terminal One as the evaluation sample according to the needs of the model, choose quay line length berths number water depth, yard spaceã€handling equipment number as input indicators, and choose the throughput of port as output indicators to evaluate the efficiency of Da Chan Bay Terminal One. Finally, combined with the evaluation results, we put forward suggestions to enhance the efficiency of Da Chan Bay Terminal One from the point of secure more sourcesã€expand the yard spaceã€optimize the management of the terminal yardã€increase the construction of the deep-water berths and bring in more advanced handling machine and equipment. |
