Evaluation Of Comprehensive Competitiveness Of PDA Oil Terminal

With the increasing demand of crude oil,the scale of oil terminals is much bigger.All the oil terminals are dedicated in the construction of large berths that can berth VLCC which can hold up 300 thousand tons and storage tanks whose total storage capacity is more than one million cubic meters.Most of the ports regard the petrochemical enterprises in the Bohai rim as their target market.As the gap of the hardware facilities is gradually narrowed,the competition of the major ports is becoming more and more fierce.The sources of the hinterland of the ports are gradually concentrated to the exclusive ports,and the cross hinterland is gradually shrinking.The competition in oil products transfer market will be more and more fierce in the future.Yingkou port,Tianjin port,Qingdao port and other oil terminals in the Bohai rim region are the main competitors of PDA oil terminal.Therefore,it is of great significance to accurately evaluate the comprehensive competitiveness of each oil terminal in the Bohai rim region and to clarify the competitive status of PDA oil terminal,which can improve the comprehensive competitiveness of PDA oil terminal,develop the market and expand the market share.Firstly,on the basis of reading lots of literatures,this paper summarizes the factors that affect the competitiveness of the oil terminal.Then the evaluation indices were selected from these factors through the reliability analysis.It shows that using the reliability analysis to analyze the effectiveness and reliability of the questionnaire can ensure the precise selection of each index.The index selection process is the foundation for the Bohai oil terminal competitiveness evaluation.Secondly,the competitiveness of 11 oil terminals in the Bohai rim region were evaluated using the comprehensive evaluation method based on cloud model.The evaluation results show that the comprehensive competitiveness of PDA oil terminal is "Excellent",and it is ahead of other oil terminals in the Bohai rim region.However,its location and market demand are still at the "Good" level,and there is still a gap with the oil terminal of Qingdao port.Finally,according to the competitiveness evaluation results of oil terminals in the Bohai rim region,this paper put forward many countermeasures from the aspects such as improveing the logistics system,developing the market,strengthening the modernization of management.These countermeasures may help PDA oil terminal to overcome the shortage of location and market demand,and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness.
