Export acts as one of the three carriages in promoting the growth of GDP, is always thefocus of research. This academic paper took the research from the viewpoint of performance.Performance as one of the concepts in Management offers a comprehensive measurement inweighting the domestic export conditions. But there is no fixed definition and indexes ofexport performance. To achieve a better result, this academic paper uses three indexes inresearch including export scale, export structure and export contribution degree. Export scaleis divided by five aspects: export per capita, net export, export extroversion, export marketshare, annual growth rate of export; export structure is divided by three indexes:resource-intensive products share, labor-intensive products share and capital-intensiveproducts share; export contribution degree is divided by three aspects: export promotingdegree, net export promoting degree and export-environmental contribution degree. Theindex used to represent environmental regulation is the investment on pollution control. This academic paper conducted the analysis by reckoning the environmental regulationas one factor in production by using HO model. Strength of environmental regulation willinfluence the supply of environment factor and the amount of export. At the same time, because countries in the world all want to decrease the cost to promote trade, writer thoughtthe environmental regulation has the tendency of convergence. On the other side, thisacademic paper proposed a new definition i.e.export-enviroment contribution using the ratioof pollution-intensive products in total exports. The proposal of this definition facilitates theresearch of the influence of export on environment. This academic paper used factor analysis in empirical research to make integration ofthe indexes chosen to represent export performance. Then we used the OLS to test the linearrelationship between environmental regulation and export performance.
