Study On The Business Model Of The Private Equity Investment For ICBC

The claims under private equity investment is for ownership, and is different from that under loans, so private equity investment is a new business for the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, It’s business model for the industrial and Commercial Bank of China is very important. The purpose of this study is to find such an effective business model. for it.According to the theory of strategy,Strategic positioning, organizational structure and business activities is three key parts of business model, so current business mode of private equity investment for ICBC is divided into such three parts to be researched, and also the new business model for it when it is planned, In research, SWOT and other analysis method are used.This paper argues that, the current role which ICBC take of as private equity investor in the private equity market is wrong, the current organizational structure do not match with the requirements of private equity investment activities, and the risk of current private equity investment is exposed and does not hedged.This paper put forward a new business model of private equity investment for ICBC, in the new model,ICBC take the position of an intermediary, and set up a limited company called ICBC Capital as professional private equity investment management institution, it’s business include raising funds, investing,and investment management etc., the risk management is also considered in the new model.
