Human resource has become one of the most important capital for enterprises to gain core competitive advantages. However, although the domestic labor market is oversupply in recent years, the Small-and Medium-sized Enterprises are still lake power to attract enough talents. Besides, the literatures on employer attractiveness are very scare and are generally proceeded against the backdrop of western culture, with university students as the sample. So researches attention to the influencing factors of the SMEs’employer attractiveness from the entire applicant colony would have certain practical significance and academic value. Our research can also prvide some advice to SMEs on attracting more qualified talents.Based on the relative research about the employer attractiveness, this study takes a random sample of jobseekers from the labor markets of five cities in Jiangsu province as the respondents. We get the primary data through interview method and questionnarie survey. SPSS16.0software is the main analytical tool used for data processing. Methods inculde descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability and validity testing, independent-samples T test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis, are used to explore the influencing factors of the SMEs’employer attractiveness in Jiangsu province. The main conclusions are as follows.First, the influencing factors of the SMEs’employer attractiveness in Jiangsu province contain four dimensions, namely the HRM policies, the work value, the organiaztional characters and the atmosphere value. The HRM policies represent applicants’s expectations of the human resource conditions. The work value reflects applicants’s expectations of those hidden interests linked to the job, such as the work environment, social status and links, ect. The organiaztional characters show applicants’s expectations of the economic strength and the development prospects of the organization. The atmosphere value signals applicants’s expectations of the relationship of employees and their jobs, employees and employees, employees and company.Second, no significant differences are observed on the four dimensions above for applicants of different gender, education background or occupations. Applicants of different age or seniority are differ significantly on some of the four dimensions. Third, there are no significant differences, among applicants of different demographics variables, on the expectations of the SMEs’employer attractiveness in Jiangsu province.Four, each of the four dimensions of the influencing factors has a considerable positive impact for the SMEs’employer attractiveness in Jiangsu province. The HRM policies is the most improtant factor, then the organiaztional characters, the work value and the atmosphere value in turn.With these results, we put forward suggestions as following. Change the talent management conception through identifying its competitors accurately and strengthing the quit management. Improve the attractiveness of key positions through increasing the input and recruitment effect. Build a fair and harmonious atmosphere. Format and work out the mid-term and long-term plans to improve the HRM system and enhance the actual strength.
