Ecological Economics Analysis On The Production Business Modes Of Typical Farmers By The Case Study In Taihe County

Emergy analysis is the method of ecological-economic system in later1980s, created by H.T.Odum. It is a new method, based on the traditional energy analysis, transforming all kinds of energy into one form----Solar Emjoules(sej). By the emergy standard, it makes the circulation of energy, materials and money comparable, avoiding some disadvantages of ecology and economics. Emergy analysis can be used to analyze different agricultural production modes and calculate economic benefits, moreover, from a new perspective, to evaluate regional agricultural developing level and family production structure and provide theoretical basis for agricultural sustainable development.This thesis is based on the study, applying energetics methods to analyze transformity on the production business modes of typical farmers by the case of Taihe county, and applying emergy analysis theories to evaluate the environmental pressure from different modes, the evaluation system of which is consisted of net energy yield ratio, environmental loading ratio and emergy index for sustainable development. The put-and-yield theory is applied to evaluate the economic benefits of different modes and find out proper small family agricultural production modes in Taihe county.By investigating and sampling the production modes of62agricultural families in Taihe county, the result is that, of three production modes, the mode No.3should be advised, that is to say, feeding multi-stomach animals like cows as well as planting rice, supplemented by feeding monogastric animals like pigs, poultry and fishes as well as planting forage grass and cash crop. Another choose is base on the mode No.2, industrialize of feeding pigs, poultry and fishes as well as planting rice supplemented by planting forage grass and cash crop. Above on two modes, emergy and economic benefits can be enhanced at the same time. By adding link of biologic chain in agriculture ecological system and reducing the environmental pressure, index for sustainable development can be improved.Not all the agricultural families have enough money and land to do the above production modes. It is required that the government and related departments, based on the conditions and practical analysis, establish the most suitable production mode and help farmers gradually carry out proper production mode. The purpose is to improve agricultural harvest, protect environment and develop sustainably.
