Clothing industry is critical for a country s development. Being the reflection of one spersonality and education, it is closely related to a nation s culture, economy and tradition.Nowadays, clothing industry in China still has a long way to go to catch up with that indeveloped countries when it comes to logistics. High cost, low efficiency, insufficientcompetitiveness are the most common problems. Guangdong province is prosperous in thisindustry where Dongguan counts for so much for its central role in this industry and thenumerous enterprises it has bred, much of which are Small and medium-sized privateenterprises with its extensive management, narrow focus on production, and especially theignorance of the current situation and its optimization in logistics in workshops. All theselead to a low capacity. Recently, much of the enterprises have adopted Lean Logistics, yetfailed to see the expected results for a lack of systematical and specific theoretical guidance.Therefore it has become the biggest concern of most enterprises that how to improve theoverall capacity of production through efficient logistics management, including increasingefficiency in production and storage and reducing waste.The article is based on YF Co., Ltd. in Dongguan City. First, the development andcontent of lean logistics and garment industry current situation and trend is concerned. Onthe basis of analysis of current situation and logistics problems of YF company, we proposeto implement a method of lean logistics and design lean logistics system of enterprises inthe use of management philosophy based on lean logistics. Through the optimization ofenterprise production, material control process and the warehouse system, the improvementof the enterprise production line balance, So as to eliminate the waste of the enterprise,achieve integral resources optimization allocation. Finally, with the original systemoperation situation of comparison, it is concluded that the enterprise implementation of leanlogistics management can bring more benefit to the enterprise production system. Therefore,the article not only solve the YF company logistics bottleneck problem, but for otherclothing enterprise also have the certain reference and inspiration.
