Study On The International Competitiveness Of Major Agricultural Products Of Vietnam

Vietnam agricultural has developed so quick in recent years, it’s predicted that it’s going to surpass Thailand to become the world’s largest rice exporter, and Vietnam has been the world pepper market center,25000tons in the2010-2011crop season harvest110000tons pepper have been exported abroad. However Vietnam agricultural products are mainly exported as raw material with low technology, frequently encountering tariff barriers, especially the green trade barriers. Vietnam, as an economy in whose gross domestic products agricultural export occupies sizeable proportion, the export trade of agricultural products has played a more and more important role. In order to explore Vietnam’s competitive advantage of its main exported agricultural products in the international market, this paper analyzes the main factors which impact Vietnam’s main agricultural product export’s competitiveness, to find ways to improve the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s main agricultural products.Many positive analyses shows, the advantages of primary products of Vietnam in foreign trade is falling, and primary products are pressed for international competence of primary products, exert its comparative advantages, and enhance its realistic and latent competition is so significant to the development of the agriculture and the national economy of Vietnam.The first three parts of the paper comprehensively are going to analyze the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s main agricultural products export from the perspective of domestic and international point of view, in the paper’s base component, Vietnam’s general situation of main agricultural products have also been analyzed, such as Vietnam’s natural advantages and characteristics of major agricultural products. The fourth part of the paper has comprehensively studied main influence factors of the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s agricultural products export, because from these factors some feasible means to improve the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s main agricultural products’export can be very intuitively identified. In the fifth part of the paper, Vietnam’s and other countries’major agricultural products export status were compared. The paper’s fifth part focuses on analyzing the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s, is main problems existing in Vietnam’s the agricultural product export, the thesis compares the international competitive advantage of agricultural products among Vietnam, India, and other countries in ASEAN. In aspect has mainly talked about development prospects of the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s main agricultural product export. The sixth part of this paper mainly summarizes and studies the shortages of the international competitiveness of Vietnam’s main agricultural product export, and put forward feasible advice according to my own present research, related research achievements of predecessors in this field, and supervisor’s guidance,.
