Online inspection system is relatively a new area domestically, which has been developed for6to7years in overseas mature market of heavy and high tier industrial equipment. Even in foreign developed market, online inspection system is only focusing on certain special industries and market, related products and market resources are close to monopoly by several companies belong to giant global tycoons (such as GE, EMERSON). In recent years, target on domestic market, some local companies put lots resources on developing such applications and market, Moons is one of the companies who masters the leading technologies and take the biggest market share in related market in China, as well. These make Moons a symbolic domestic company that take an advantage position in the competition with overseas companies in such an Arena.The paper is based on discussing market positioning and strategic marketing related theories of online inspection system, using Moons as a study object, detailed analyze the character of the industry which Moons’ online inspection system targets on and overall circumstances of Moons’rival overseas companies, setting forward the detailed product market positioning and system configuration decision scheme of Moons company. Then, the paper explores some practice problems as how to set up a suitable price for Moons online inspection system, how to get advantages by offering a better install and AE service together with combined software technologies; finally, having a summary for the domestic market of online inspection system, getting the conclusion that the new rising market of online inspection system was born to be dominated by domestic players, local companies as Moons whom accumulated certain resources in technology and market can reasonably win a sustainable market with stable margin by refining products configuration, setting a suitable price range, modulating the products, and taking full advantage of installing and AE service.
