Research Of The Public Participation Urban Planning Platform In Nantong Urban Planning

With the rapid economic development of society,the urban planning theory and practice matures gradually. Public participation in urban planning as a mode is to coordinate and balance different interests of the community, throughout the process of decision of urban construction and management, now,it cames to be a planning concept which is widely used in urban planning and management process.This paper analyses the current situation and existing problems of public participation urban planning in China, studies the public participation in the administration of the community in Nantong city.According to the regional developmentsituation in Nantong city,this paper review the historic of the public participation planning process,and explore causes of the problems with the rapid development in Nantong city,then analysis the trouble existed in public participate urban planning and explore the ways in Nantong city during urban expansion processes.After reflected deeply on the practice of public participation in urban planning,this paper explore how to conduct effective public participation in the urban planning process furtherlly.This paper proposed measures of public participation in urban planning in Nantong city,which is to construct practical and operational system,as well as develop appropriate security system to perfect the ways to improve public participation in urban planning.
