With the expansion of additional admission of university students, there exists a problem that more and more university graduates pour into the job market every year. They are facing critical competitions in their job hunting which bring them severe pressure. However, what is not in coordination is that, despite the severe pressure, the turnover of the new university graduates remains at a high level. Therefore, it is of great realistic significance to study the issue of the turnover of the university-graduate employees.Changzhou is a new industrial city with dynamic economy, and its supporting industries include textile and apparel, chemistry, constructional-materials, and machinery. Particularly the export and processing industry of textile and apparel enjoy great competitiveness nationwide, thus Changzhou has become one of the national bases for textile and apparel manufacturing and processing. The fact that employees in textile and apparel industry frequently turn over their jobs would influence the enterprises’sustainable development, and would also cause a waste of organizational resources.Based on related literature and the samples of both the university-graduate employees and textile and apparel enterprises, the author intends to find out different reasons why university-graduate employees frequently shift their jobs. A survey is carried out and two questionnaires are used, one on the university-graduate employees’ working conditions in textile and apparel enterprises, and the other on professional stability of the university-graduate employees. Statistics are analyzed and compared afterwards from the perspectives of enterprises and employees respectively, and possible enterprise turnover factors and personal factors are drawn. From three aspects, this thesis puts forward creative and realistic countermeasures:for university-graduate employees, they should objectively plan their professional careers. Once on the job, they should try to adapt to the environment and atmosphere of the enterprises and the posts, promptly enhance their comprehensive qualities; for the enterprises, they should provide sufficient room for individual development, better managing level and control from probation, recruiting, on-the-job training, routine management, and etc.
