The Research Of ATM Security Management For ABN-AMRO China

ATM was an excellent channel of ABN AMRO (China) to expand RetailBusiness， improve petty cash transaction and seize the financial market hencetransaction was a serious problem.This thesis，by taking ABN AMRO (China) as a typical object of study，intensively and systematically studies ATM security management of the bank basedon deeply investigation， data collection， practical experience as well as on thetheories of the comprehensive risk management of New Basel Capital Accord andanalyzing tools.In order to change the above phenomenon，standardization analysis method isused for explanations and interpretations of some of the basic professional conceptsand terminology； comparative analysis method has been introduced to comparesecurity management organization in aspects of theory and practice between ABNAMRO (China)，Citibank and State-own bank，Basic Indication approach had beenused to define new target of ATM operation management. Case study method provedthat new technologies and new theories was extraordinary valuable for ATMSECURITY MANAGEMENT. Finally，it was suggested that the PDCA theory ofoverall quality control should be introduced into the implementation of ATMinformation security management plan.Basing on ATM theory and existing ATM risk management，this article analyzedthe problems of ABN AMRO (China)’s ATM information security management systemand made some suggestions：perfecting the organizational structure，improve themanagement system，improve information technology system，strengthening ATMoperations management and eliminate personal risk factor. Besides，the solution aimedto help ABN AMRO China build a sound ATM information security managementsystem. This system would help avoid risk，achieve effective management， andpromote the long-term，healthy and orderly development of ATM system of ABNAMRO China.As it adopts a number of original files and records for reference，analyzing andstudy，this thesis conforms to the reality of ABNAMR China. It has not only practicalapplication value but also critical reference for other banks.
