A Study Of Problems And Countermeasures Of Liaoning Agricultural Exhibition In The Development Of Modern Agriculture

Agricultural exhibition and conference is part of the system of agricultural trade service. Inagricultural economic activities, it not only enhances the cooperation and trade among regionsdomestically or internationally, but also facilitates the communication of information, culture andpersonnel in the business of agriculture; also, it serves as a direct and interactive platform for thepromotion of agricultural products and therefore, creates social and economic benefits. As agriculturalexhibition and conference becomes increasingly popular, the number of agricultural exhibitions,conferences and celebrations held in Liaoning Province is on the rise, too. However, due to the lack ofsector planning, the development of agricultural exhibition and conference still lags behind in LiaoningProvince.First, this thesis refers to many articles and conducts a research in the agriculture business; On thebasis of the result of the research, the author discusses the present situation of exhibition industry,especially the agricultural one; then by other exhibition economic studies, the role which agriculturalexhibitions play in the modernization of agriculture will be analyzed, with an emphasis on the economicand social effects in the market economy. Through comparative study of the empirical cases, the existingproblems concerning the agricultural exhibition and conference will be analyzed; finally, suggestions forfurther development will be presented.By a comparative study of the Chinese International Agriculture Exhibition and the LiaoningAgricultural Exhibition, the author identifies several problems: lack of sector planning, deficiency inmanagement department, insufficient service, lack of brand exhibition and professionals, to name themain ones. According to the experience of holding the agricultural fairs, it is essential for the organizersto improve the industry development system, smooth the information exchange, perfect the marketcompetition mechanism and enhance the auxiliary service. Finally, several suggestions are presented,including increasing the government subsidy, strengthening the industry management, improvinginformation exchange, building famous brand, educating professionals, etc.
