Industrialization And Agricultural Productivity Growth Of Areas In Jiangsu Province

Since the reform and opening up, the industrialization and agricultural production of Jiangsu Province has gotten the high-speed development. With the constraints of resources, market and other conditions, the future agricultural development in Jiangsu Province should rely mainly on the improvement of agricultural productivity. County agriculture development gap has become increasingly apparent,the level of industrialization uncoordinated development. In this context, this paper first reviewed at domestic and foreign about industrialization, the growth of agricultural productivity to find the entry point of the article. Followed by the description of the course of industrialization in Jiangsu Province, and comparative analysis the industrialization degree of three major area, the results show that the South of Jiangsu most industrialized, the North of Jiangsu relatively lowest urbanization, the urbanization level lag behind the process of industrialization. Then review the history of agricultural development in Jiangsu Province, and estimate agricultural productivity growth of Jiangsu province, three areas and63cities. The results show that agricultural productivity growth was mainly rely on technological advances in agriculture, most of the areas of agricultural technology efficiency is negative, County agricultural productivity growth gap is obvious. Again, use the Granger causality test method to test the relationship between the three regional industrialization and agricultural productivity growth in a closed economy, The empirical results show that industrialization is caused by the growth of agricultural productivity. Elected county agricultural productivity growth factors do regression analysis, the expansion of the value of the rate of equipment, infrastructure indicators can promote agricultural TFP (Total Factors Productivity)growth, land expansion can improve agricultural TFP but the effect is not obvious. There exists reverse changes in the relationship between the index value of environmental pollution, employment structure, industrial structure and agricultural TFP growth. Finally, we conclude based on previous empirical analysis and targeted to provide relevant recommendations with the development of agriculture and industrialization in Jiangsu Province.
