Car Research And Development Project Schedule Planning And Management

Based on the international experience in automotive development program management, this article proposed the measures to solve the delay issue in domestic automotive development program. The article is based on automotive development program management characteristics, to use the WBS to break down and definite the program activities, summed up a solution to develop a program timing which suitable to the domestic vehicle development program. Tracking and management of the timing is very important, the article summed up a set of effective schedule management measures. These studies can be provided to domestic program managers for how to develop reasonable program timing and how to implement it in a program, these studies has a positive significance to improve the level of development of China’s automobile industry.Reasonable and scientific timing plan is the premise of the smooth implementation of the program. The article studied how to develop a reasonable timing plan, including the premise and methods. Before developing the timing plan, a lot of information of premises can ensure the predictability of the timing. When developing the timing, some methods, just as from top to bottom, from left to right, deep refinement, split the decomposition, to be carried out to break down and define the activities, this is an adaptive application of the WBS technology in the vehicle development program. Schedule management is the key to ensuring that the program be completed on time. This article studied the progression tracking, progression control, progression risk prediction and the timing plan change management, to clarify key points in the schedule management. The progression tracking is fundamental in the schedule management, closed tracking can discovered the deviation between the timing plan and the implementation plan. The progression control is the main work of the schedule management, including program risk prediction and change management. Schedule management system is a computer-based intelligent schedule management tool. The article analysis the system purpose and system design, to help enterprises or project managers able to understanding the key points when developing a schedule management system, able to ensure the system function. With this system, program managers can integrate all the main timing and sub-timing, and can managed the program schedule effectively.This article is also the basis of the schedule management system, reference on the GM GSTS (Global Status and Timing System) system, conducted in-depth discussion on the schedule management system in the vehicle program management.
