As expanding vehicles ownership, the number of the end-of-life Vehicles increases dramatically. If the ELVs cannot be collected in time and be dismantled and shredded in an appropriate, efficient and environmentally friendly, they will cause the huge environment pollution and economical loss, considering the mass of different renewable resources. On the other hand, if the ELVs were continuously used or Illegally Assembled Automobiles by illegally dismantled ELVs, they will be a great threat to public traffic safety. At present, there are definite gap between the actual dismantling and shredding capability and the desired capability. As many small dismantles cannot deal with the ELVs and cause the secondary pollution to the environment, because of lack advanced equipment. On the other side, somestate-ownedenterprises have the difficulties to get the enough ELV. Thus, the appropriate capability planning of the dismantler and shredder in reverse supply chain of ELV is very important and significant.After analyzing the specific process of the ELV collection management, this paper develop a system dynamic model of reverse supply chain of ELV in order to research the capacity planning problem of the dismantlers and shredders. At the same time, through the analysis of important factors, such as, the mass of vehicle, the change of vehicle material composition and the reused and remanufactured rate of parts and components, paper focus on their actual influences on the capacity planning. At last, effective analysis based on the reality were used in the welldefined SD model, consider the different collection level of ELV and regulatory mechanism of capacity expansion, which can offer some useful advice to the decision on the capacity planning of dismantling and shredding in the ELV reverse supply chain.
