According to the statistics of relevant departments, there are6.6million collegegraduates in2011, the number will reach6.8million in2012. The growing numberpredicts that the pressure on employment of college graduates is very large in China.College graduates have to face the reality of unemployment when they just graduated.National and local governments introduce a large number of policies to solve theproblem of employment every year, however, the employment problem did not solve.One major reason of employment is the weak comprehensive ability and practicalability. The data shows that about80%of college graduates lacked work experience,or did not participate in internship or probation, confronted so many job hunters,these students have no advantage, it is difficult to attract the eye of recruiters.There is mismatch between the theroy that college students learned and practice,the phenomena such as lacking of practical skills have seriously affected theemployment of college students. For this phenomenon, the government of China hasadopted all kinds of policies of internship to promote college graduates makeadequate preparation for work, such as “1Million within3Years: College GraduatesInternship Plan”, the main purpose of the plan is to develop a number of employers asinternship base to facilitate graduates, lay the institutional foundation for thedevelopment of college graduates internship. Essentially, internship is pre-trainningthe graduates to enhance their comprehensive quality, employability and workexperience to improve the competitive strength. Although “1Million within3Years:College Graduates Internship Plan” is carrying out around the countries, collegestudents vocational skills and work experience in various aspects have been improved,however, which aspects college graduates would be enhanced? If we know theaspects of graduats have been enhanced, the base can remedy the deficiency. there are no relevant research to investigate the effect of internship, this research discussedfoucsing on this problem.First, by the indepth interviews of the person in charge of apprentices, we obtainfive positive aspects that can promote the employment of college students as well asbusiness operations, they are:(1) Apprentices have been widely improve the capacityand quality;(2) Enhance employer to understand the apprentices;(3)Provide thetransition period for graduates;(4)Internship certification can increase the weight forthe employment;(5) Reduce the cost of business operations. We obtain other questionsuch as registered residence limitations, financial allocation and the awareness ofcollege about internship.Secondly, from the questionnaire survey, we get the following meaningfulconclusions and recommendations:(1)Strengthen the combination between theoryand practice in the probationary process;(2) Focus on the extension and developmentof expertise;(3) The person in charge of apprentices is the basic protection to ensurethe successful completion, their responsibility and attitude directly affect internship’seffect, so the base not only to guarantee the ability, but also to guarantee sense ofresponsibility;(4) In the course of the investigation, apprentices’ interpersonal skillsand work attitude have been greatly improved, however, to further strengthen theinterpersonal skills of the apprentices and work attitude can not be ignored;(5) In theapprentices needs analysis, it should be used different learning theories to meet thedifferent needs;(6)It should be regularly checked internship outcomes, assessmentoutcomes should be load the apprentices’ profile;(7) Appropriate to release theregistered residence’s restrictions will further promote the implementation of theinternship;(8)Increase internship based audit and establish a internship base auditsystem, unqualified trainee base should be eliminated.
