With the development of information technology and the continuous deepening of theinternational division of labor,services outsourcing is booming worldwide,has become aninevitable trend in today’s world.The insurance companies take the outsourcing strategy toimprove their core competitiveness,the insurance industry modular outsourcing non-corevalue modules outsourced to professional service providers.The value of modules are thebasic elements of the value chain and modular outsourcing model make the traditionalvalue chain decomposition,integration and reconstruction,and gradually formed a loosemodular value network.In this paper,basised on the research services outsourcing and valuechain theory,analysis of the insurance value chain reconstruction process,including thedecomposition of the value chain and value chain integration.The theory of comparativeadvantage,transaction costs,the value chain explain service outsourcing,the insuranceindustry with modular operating conditions,and the modular outsourcing has become atrend in the insurance outsourcing.Through the analysis of the structure of insuranceindustry value chain,traditional insurance value chain already can not adapt tocustomer-oriented market behavior,with the modular division and value modulesoutsourcing,insurance value chain decomposition and disintegration of verticalintegration.Decomposition and reconstruction process of the insurance industry value chainis the process of non-core business outsourcing and business process reengineering, themember companies adopt cooperative strategy, connect value chain, and gradually formeda chain on the loose network of the insurance industry organizations modular valuenetworks.Finally,the empirical test of modular value networks on the performance of theinsurance industry, the results show there is a significant positive correlation between themodular value networks and corporate performance.
