The internet of things (IOT) industry is one of the most potential industries inthe world, it will effectively promote transformation and upgrading of traditionalindustries, promote strategic adjustment of economic structure. So IOT industrybecomes the main battlefield of the21st century of International competition.At present, IOT is researched as a whole. But more important, IOT includes avarious segments, such as sensors, communications, information fusion, securitytechnology, middleware technology. Various segments are different at the level oftechnological development. The gap with the leading technical level and thetechnical bottlenecks or main problem need to be overcome is vastly different.So these problems need to be treated differently and cannot be generalized.Therefore, it is necessary to distinguish the subdivision technology from IOTtechnology, and to plan the development strategy of the subdivision technology.Firstly, this paper measures technology development life cycle of data fusionby patent map analysis and the logistic model. Data fusion technology is on theearly stages of technology development. With technological development, R&Dproductivity is rising rapidly. The output rates of return are increasing rapidlyattracting more researchers and material inputted into the technology R&D. Thenthe second section studies the major market participants’ technological innovationand R&D ability by Delphi method and hierarchical analysis, linear weightedcomposite method. It concludes that South Korea, the United States and Japan arethe three strongest countries on technological innovation capability. China’stechnological innovation capability is the weakest. Representing by Shanghai Jiaotong University, there is no unique technology and leading-edge technology.R&D capability is weak and a small number of R&D staff. Based on the aboveanalysis, this article establishes the national strategy model proposed data fusiontechnology strategic. That is, China should adopt to take following strategy orabsorbing strategy in terms of technology. Relying on advantage of scale, chinashould obtain technological advantages cooperating with the hi-tech enterprisesor focusing on imitation to gradually cultivate technological innovation capability.Finally, this paper has done a comparative study on data fusion technologybetween china and world. Then this paper presents the strategic tactics andsegmentation techniques tactics of the Chinese data fusion technique. That is, tocatch up with advanced level in the field of information processing, to reach the leading level of information transmission technology, to push forward totechnology breakthroughs of the data fusion system security, to take the leadstrategy to maintain advanced level on Sensor technology. Further, it isrecommended to focus on training and fostering companies to R&D and achieveindustrialization which have strong technical, high R&D capabilities, and haveleading technology and unique technology. Also this paper recommendsenhancing the protection of intellectual property rights and establishingintellectual property strategy in the global.This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces thebackground of the internet of things industry, the research status, and the strategicsignificance of internet of things industry development, as well as its originality.The second chapter described the research methods in this article. First, thisarticle predicts data fusion technology development life-cycle measured by patentmap analysis methods and the logistic model. Then, by Delphi method,hierarchical analysis and linear weighted composite method, this articleresearches technological innovation strength and R&D capacity of the mainmarket participants.The third chapter analyzes the Chinese data fusion technology developmentstrategy. This chapter first defines data source, then carries out technologylife-cycle analysis of data fusion technology and the innovation strength and R&D capacity evaluation of Market participants. Finally, this paper proposedtechnology development strategic choice of data fusion technology.Chapter IV described the Comparative Analysis of data fusion technologydevelopment strength between China and the world, including technologydevelopment analysis, competitive analysis of key market participants, thecompetitive situation analysis, the research focus and technical direction. On thebasis of the specific analysis, this chapter concludes the technology developmentstrategy of subdivision technologyThe fifth chapter is the conclusion and outlook. This chapter mainlysummarizes the main conclusions and pointed out that the paper needs to befurther researched.
