In the background of economical globalization, China’s garment industry continues to developand matured. With the international competitiveness in the domestic market, Chinese clothingindustry face more complex and changeful market institution, consumers are of diversified,differentiated, personalized and branding. The exploration of development process in China’sgarment enterprises is very difficult to adapt in the environment, brand competition becomesincreasingly fierce. In clothing industry, it is become the important subject for enterprises to gettheir core competitiveness to remain invincible. As a clothing business, Product development isthe key link, still development is not perfect, and even abnormal development, follow the trendand the serious phenomenon of plagiarism. Therefore, to build the core competitiveness ofenterprises is imminent to product development.The application of the methods in this literature are interdisciplinary research, empirical researchmethod, deductive method and other research methods. Management in science and clothingrelated theories as a guide in economics, and the combination of the author of a well-knownclothing enterprise product R&D Center internship experience. Firstly, we should expounde theability of product development system for core competitiveness of definition. Secondly,interdiscipline comprehensive analysis product development is how to make the garmententerprises to obtain the competitive advantage, therefore to get the sources of competitiveadvantage in enterprise’s core competitiveness. In order to gain core competitive elements inproduct development, four elements are necessary (corporate culture, innovation ability,management, the ability to build business). Core competitiveness in garment enterprise is theguide to the clothing enterprises in the competition by improving the clothing productdevelopment capacity to acquire the core competitiveness. In order to obtain long-termcompetitive advantage and support garment enterprises, and in the fierce competition in theindustry in a solid position.
