This paper, taking San Yang Business Trade Co. Ltd. in Yan Tai as an example, analyzes and assesses at length the cogeneration project in its stages of risk control of investment, construction and operation. It is based on the related theoretical research and accordingly proposes the strategies of risk control by the use of the final evaluations.Firstly, this paper summarizes the domestic and abroad research on project risk control and then it not only discusses the definition, classification and features of the project risk but the concept of the risk control and its causes, procedures and what is involved. Meanwhile, theories concerning the life cycle of the project is discussed in detail, which furthermore solidates the academic research of this dissertation.Three stages of the life cycle the cogeneration project-investment decision, construction and operation-are presented in this dissertation and the factors of risk have been analyzed in each stage. Besides, the dissertation suggests that it is necessary to control the risk of the cogeneration project, based on the analysis of three stages mentioned above.This dissertation also constructs an index system of controlling the risk of the cogeneration project by use of the analysis of the above analysis of risk factors. As a result of general comprehensive evaluation and hierarchy analysis, the risk control model is built and been assessed along with the end result is that the risk is above the medium level and solutions to it should be taken. Lastly, according to the analysis of risk factors and general comprehensive evaluation, this paper provides strategies risk control relating to the three stages-investment decision, construction and operation respectively.
