As information, network technology, digital technology and other emergingtechnologies extraordinary development, the global economical society is undergoingprofound changes in21st century. Service-oriented (servitizatinn) has become one ofthe world’s manufacturing enterprises developing trends.Service-orientedmanufacturing is a manufacturing model in the new backdrop of global economy, themain feature is the integration of products and services,customers involvedthroughout, business providing production services and service production with eachother. Therefore, the research on the services of manufacturing enterprises has been akey management topic since the1990s. However, the research in this area is mainlyfor manufacturing enterprises in developed countries,the research and practice inChina still at an early and exploratory stage. Based on this background, this papermade a theoretical and empirical research on service-oriented manufacturingenterprises how to implement the specific mode of differentiation strategy, influencingfactors and the implementation of the strategy’s impact on business performance.This study, first sort out and reviewed the theory of service-oriented manufacturingto analyse the meaning of a service-based differentiation strategy and theoretical basis,characteristics and mode.Then from a product point of view with PSS classificationmodel and a process point of view with the value chain model to analyse differentialadvantages of service-oriented manufacturing. And use the core competence theoryand hotelling model to analyse the formation mechanism of differential advantages,build a mode of service-oriented manufacturing enterprises’ differentiation strategiesimpact on the conceptual model of corporate performance. Use SEM to reveal theway differences strategy to impact on business performance. Study indicated internalmechanism of service-oriented manufacturing enterprises through the implementationof differentiation strategy to achieve competitive advantages. Generally speaking, thedegree of PSS development had a positive impact on differences strategies. Pointedout the differences comes from the specific activities carried out and the way theseactivities affect the buyer in the enterprise value chain. Find out the way the specificaspects under service-oriented manufacturing model for the company to contribute todifferentiation strategies. By exploring the impact of differentiation strategy onbusiness performance mechanism and the basic path of it affect the performance ofenterprises, found the differentiation strategy had a positive impact on enterprisecustomers performance and business performance.
