Agricultural insurance should be drawn more attention as an important measure tostrengthen a country’s agricultural development, especially to china which based onagriculture. Since agricultural insurance is thought as public goods nature and animportant position for the whole country, the investment for the agricultural insurancemust be from the government financial. For the importance of agriculture insurance,the government began to improve support to agricultural insurance, increasing thefinancial subsidies of agricultural insurance, but the output of agricultural insurance inthe agricultural development and the government’s input is not proportional. a thiskinds of background, this paper refer to the relevant theory, to analysis of China’sagricultural insurance status quo, learning from the advanced experience of foreignagricultural insurance and discussing specific ideas of our financial support for thedevelopment of the high efficiency of the agricultural insurance, as to make progressfor agricultural insurance in China and rural development significantly. In addition toagricultural insurance into national catastrophe insurance coverage system, theestablishment of agricultural insurance and reinsurance programs, the purpose is toguide government investment in the financial sector to investment in agriculturalinsurance, reducing government financial pressure. Finally, widening the scope ofagricultural insurance support, multi-angle support from the organization and researchand development through increased agricultural insurance, personnel training,increase the development of agricultural insurance products, the establishment ofgovernment-supported agricultural insurance cooperatives.
