The Studies Of Investment Consultant Business Model In Medium And Small-Sized Securities Companies

The securities investment consultant business is the necessary intermediate way for the transformation of securities companies from traditional channel service to the wealth management. It is also the breakthrough point and realization mode that the securities companies can practice the wealth management. In October,2010, the Securities Regulatory Commission of China’issued the document "The Temporary Rules of Securities Investment Consultant Development" which provided the opportunity and development direction for the transition of securities brokerage and standardized the securities investment consultant business.This thesis firstly analyzed the securities investment consultant business in the foreign markets, and compared the characteristics of varying business modes. Secondly, with Caitong Securities Company as the typical example, the securities investment consultant business in the medium and small-sized securities companies was discussed. Thirdly, the operating mode and results of securities investment consultant business of Caitong Securities Company were analyzed and summarized in details, and some advises were proposed. Finally, based on the experiences of domestic and foreign securities investment consultant business, some business strategies for the medium and small-sized securities companies were proposed.It was found that the successes of foreign securities companies should be ascribed to the precise market orientation and the specially designed series of operation modes. The securities investment consultant business of Caitong Securities Company drew lessons from the experiences of several foreign securities companies and designed some feasible operation measures, including the organization management, service system, charge mode, system architecture, risk control, personnel structure, team foundation, payment examination and so on. However, due to the objective reasons of domestic securities market and the subjective factors in the company, the current results on the securities investment consultant business of Caitong Securities Company was not so good.This thesis focused on the real problems in the current modes of the securities investment consultant business of Caitong Securities Company and some suggestions were proposed for the business improvement. Furthermore, aiming to the small-sized securities companies in China, some rational advised were introduced, including the suitable organization structure, the special service productions, the specialized investment consultant library, the flexible charge modes and the perfect business management platform based on new generation online-trading system. The information obtained in this thesis is useful for the domestic small-sized securities companies to achieve the transformation of service mode and obtain the long-term and sustainable development.
