With rapid development of economy and wealth growing of residents in China, themarket of retail banking is playing an important role increasingly. All banks are awareof the important strategic significance of sustainable and stable development of entirebusinesses, and accelerate the pace of development. This paper summarizes what theretail banking is and the strategy significance of development of retail banking first. Inorder to explain the necessity and competitive environment for C bank to develop retailbanking, this article analyses external environment of strategy for developing retailbanking of the small joint-stock banks then. Third, I introduces the strategy of retailbanking of C bank, and how to implement the strategy as well as a series of securitymeasures. All over the discussions I wish to provide a reference for strategy formulationand implementation of small joint-stock banking.
