Since 2005,China's financial industry in various relevant in the banking sector has been one of the most profitable industries.With the advancement of the process of market interest rates,financial disintermediation of the gradual deepening of competition in the industry trend intensifies,the introduction of more foreign banks,so commercial banks are stepping up the pace of the search for new profit growth point.Retail business of commercial banks due to their mostly-oriented individuals,families and small businesses,etc.,having a relatively low risk,more stable income,good growth characteristics.The current value of retail banking profits in China's banking industry to create a lot higher than in the past,have now become commercial banks to implement business transformation focus,but how will the retail business of commercial bank and smooth development is worth further research.This article specifically describes the theoretical basis of retail banking,the SWOT analysis explores the advantages of today's retail banking,weaknesses,opportunities and threats.They introduced the development process of domestic and foreign retail banking,focusing on analysis of China's first proposed retail business of China Merchants Bank and become the world's retail business model Citibank,looking for the shortage of retail banking business development.And make empirical analysis by factor analysis of 13 major retail banking and related financial indicators of business data in the first half 2015.At present the main results of commercial banks of three main components of the income scale,risk prevention ability and potential development capacity.Meanwhile stars 13 commercial banks in the three main components of the score,and thus obtain a single factor in the ranking and a combination of factors affect the case of banks,which put forward reasonable suggestions of retail banking development.Proposed banking services need to improve standards to win customers,truly customer-centric banking services aim of establishing brand benefits to enhance the soft power of the commercial banks,to strengthen customer segmentation retail product marketing,focusing on the development of intermediary business and other policies.Learn from foreign experience in the retail business development success,challenges and opportunities for our retail banking face,to explore a suitable for commercial banks of China's financial system development path.So as to achieve the transformation of our retail banking strategy to promote innovative business retail banking products to enhance the market competitiveness of the industry and then make recommendations for reference.
