In recent years, the extended warranty has been extended gradually to consumerelectronic and electric appliances, jewelry industry and other areas with thedevelopment of extended warranty in the auto industry. The extended warranty whichmeans extending the warranty period, is a service promoted by the merchants to providethe maintenance which is different from the service and items contained in theconventional warranty. Although, extended warranty started very late in our country,which still be in development initial stage and focuses on the automobile and consumerelectric fields at present, it has received attention from merchants (manufactures, stores,professional companies and other fields).Up to now, a large number of money andresources have been poured to the extended warranty market. As a professionalservice-oriented enterprise, the products are the powerful weapons when the enterpriseparticipates in the market competition. However, the extended warranty companies inour country mainly focus on the competition of channels and ignore the relationshipamong employee ability and customer value and the profitability of business. This wayis very helpful to the marketing development in the short term but very harmful to thesustainable development of a company in long term.As one of the fastest growing management technologies, project management hasachieved great success in many fields such as construction and telecommunications.Business management with project management-driven has also gradually attractedmuch attention. Through the application of project management, an enterprise couldcomplete the tasks or projects much better in a given time and budget. Besides, theoperation with the project management is very systematic and scientific. Based on theproject management, this paper inducts service value chain theory and makes anintroduction of the model and the theory of the service value chain systematically. Therelationship among enterprise profits and customers and employees and how to buildthe competitive advantage continually and to cultivate the core competitivenessconsidering such relationship are the main questions we will talk about in this article.We apply the service value chain theory into the whole process of project management, in order to help the enterprise to implement the projects better by enhancing thecommunication among the employees and focusing on the customer experience andfeedbacks.In order to ensure this study more close to reality, we will apply these theories ofservice management, service value chain and customer relationship management andproject management to the projects of a professional extended warranty company inChengdu. How the enterprise carries out the project with these theories and realexample is the core issue in this paper.
