With the power system reform, leading to coal-fired generation coal-fired power generation business as well as between enterprises and other energy generating companies will be more severe competition. Competition between enterprises is ultimately a cost-competitive. How to make coal-fired power plants to implement a rational, scientific cost control in order to reduce the cost of electricity to achieve the purpose of becoming a new economic form of coal-fired power plants to solve the most urgent critical issues. In this paper, the cost of coal-fired power plants controlled study will adopt a more innovative value chain analysis, value chain analysis is a relatively new type of strategic analysis tools, from the perspective of the value chain, its business into the internal value chain analysis analysis, value chain analysis of horizontal and vertical value chain analysis. Through the various operations on the value chain "cost-value analysis " to identify non-value-added, inefficient operations, and through the optimization of operations and integration, and finally to control business costs, the purpose of improving the competitiveness of enterprises. In this study will be of value chain analysis and cost control in coal-fired power plants combined, the main theory of value chain analysis and value chain analysis and cost control to explain the point of integration and research and through the actual coal-fired power companies research on the enterprise’s internal value chain, horizontal and vertical value chain value chain analysis of the system, find the value chain based on the cost of coal-fired power plants control the end-result last based on the above analysis, the coal from the improved operating chain, improve maintenance chain operations and improve auxiliary operations point of view based on the value chain of three coal-fired power generation business chain cost control measures proposed.
