Js Company Suppliers To Participate In New Product Development Management Research

JS Company is a medium-sized manufacturer of electronic medical&health products. After years of development, JS company have already had the ability of R&D and production. But in the process of rapid development of JS company, there exists the problem of low efficiency of new product development. The reason to this problem is that JS Company failed to effectively take advantage of the ability of other organizations, especially the ability of suppliers to develop new products. Now China’s condition of macroeconomic is uncertain and exist the pressure of going downward. The rapid development of technology and new products shorten the time of new product development.In such circumstance,JS Company inefficient new product development seriously adverse the development of JS company.In this context this article studies the JS Company’s new product development process. We find that although JS company have introduced suppliers into the development of new products years ago. there are many defects in JS Company’s SINPD (Supplier Involvement in New Product Development, SINPD).These defects include lacking of long-term planning in the choice of suppliers, not enough emphasis for knowledge, low level of management of new product development, lacking of mechanism effective incentives to stimulate suppliers, poor information sharing, lacking of mechanism to effectively protect the interests of suppliers. The effective change this situation, this paper established a multiple regression analysis model, using the data of cases of SINPD of JS company. We found that in a number of factors, Corporate R&D capabilities, the ability of the supplier, the enterprise management capabilities, the cooperation between the two sides, the degree of protection for suppliers involved in new product development has a positive impact in the SINPD. Based on the research and the status quo of JS Company, we propose to make improvements in the management and adjust strategy according to the above influencing factors to enhance SINPD efficiency and elevate the level of R&D efficiency of JS Company.
