With the development of economic globalization and knowledge economy, the high-tech manufacturing industry continues to maintain the momentum of rapid growth. The rapid development of high-tech industries rely on the innovation and development of technology and products. The traditional mode of product development has been unable to meet this kind of requirements. In order to speed up the development of new products, supplier involvement in new product development has been paid more attention by more and more companies.Company S is a company with a history of more than 30 years, headquartered in Germany, and it set up own subsidiary companies in 21 countries of the world. The research, development and production of solar inverter and power generation system is the main business of Company S. And Company S is the global market leader and its products have been the industry’s benchmark products.In order to maintain the leadership position in the high-tech industry S company needs to focus on the continuous development of new products. However, due to the limited resources of its own research and development and market competition, S company also began to implement suppliers to participate in the development of new product development model for the development of new products. With the supplier involvement in new product development S company met some main problems that is including the delay of the new products development project schedule, the technical requirement and specification can’t be fulfilled by suppliers, the target cost can’t be reached and the limitation of suitable supplier resources.In order to solve those problems, this thesis based on the supplier selection, supplier relationship, supplier evaluation and supplier development theory and combined with the characteristics and needs of the new product development process and also S company’s actual management experience. Within those theory and actual experience, I propose that the supplier selection needs to be based on new product development goal, the supplier evaluation should be fit to new product development supplier requirement and the supplier can be developed by use of supplier training, supplier communication and supplier incentives can develop. Finally, through the organic combination of these three aspects it means to build the appropriate S company’s SINPD supplier strategy to solve the actual problems and issue.
