The Efficiency Evaluation Of Soybean Industry Production In Heilongjiang

Soybean are high quality protein and the key sources of oil,has the importantinfluence on the production, life and the development of animal husbandry of ourresidents. So our country attaches great importance to the development of soybeanindustry.With the progress of science and technology, more and more new scienceand technology was introduced to soybean industry, the new soybean seedlingstechnology and planting technology has made considerable progress, soybeanproduction also had the rapid progress. As from1998to2010, China’s soybeanproduction is rising from7.94million tons to15.967million tons, the averageincrease a rate of2.75%. Although China’s soybean industry production have madegreat progress, along with the amount of soybean demanded growing, soybeanproduction is far from meeting the needs of economic development, so the supply ofsoybean has appeared shortage on some degree. Heilongjiang provinceas as the mainbase of China soybean industry, not only in the soybean planting area or in output,which occupied the important position in China，is the important soybean inputand output province. But, heilongjiang province’s soybean industry also faces ashortage of supplyment, so researching the efficiency soybean industry production ofheilongjiang province and put forward the corresponding research measures has thevital significance.This paper firstly analyzes the efficiency of soybean industry from technologicaladvances and technological efficiency in two aspects. Based on the panel data of thesoybean input-output in Heilongjiang province from1998to2010, this paperestablishes models to measure technological advances and technological efficiencyof soybean with the Malmquist index analysis of data envelopment. The results showthat total factor productivity of soybean production in Heilongjiang province risessteadily mostly because of the rising of technological advance index. Technologicaladvance is the major cause to promote the growth of total factor productivity, while the ineffective scale and technology are the major cause to hinder the growth of totalfactor productivity. Then make the regression analysis on the soybean productionelements, to further exploration of various factors on the technical level to improvethe effect of soybean production. Thus, we can promote the production efficiency ofsoybean by the means of promotion in technological advance, the adjustment inscale effect and improvement of the efficiency of using the elements.
