An Interpretation Of "Mystery Between Zhejiang And Shaanxi" Based On The Regional Cultural Perspective

Since the reform and opening up, the development of regional economy in China isbecoming more and more imbalanced，especially the great contrast between the westernand eastern regional economic development. Zhejiang Province located in the east ofChina and Shaanxi Province which is located in the west, is the typical representativefor imbalanced development.It is said by the new economic growth theory that higher human capital will bringhigh economic development speed, but30years of reform and opening up practice hasproved the economic development level of Shaanxi province，whose investment ofhuman capital and stock level is higher, is behind the Zhejiang, a phenomenon known asthe "Mystery between Zhejiang and Shaanxi ".This paper is to explore the root of thegap between Shaanxi province and Zhejiang province, so as to offer new methods andexperiences for the researches on the imbalanced regional economic development ofwestern and eastern.First of all, on the basis of previous studies, this paper discusses the influence ofregional culture on the regional economy. Secondly, as Zhejiang&Shaanxi regionalculture is analyzed, we get to conclusion that Zhejiang culture is innovative, andShaanxi culture is conservative. Third, the most important of all, it is the empiricalanalysis about Zhejiang&Shaanxi culture. Finally, conclusion is drawn that Zhejiang&Shaanxi cultural differences are the basic reason for gap between economicdevelopment. At the same time，some related Suggestions are put forward for therapid economic development of Shaanxi province.There are two innovative points in this paper：1. Analysis of Zhejiang Shaanxiregional economic gap from perspective of regional culture.2. Analyzing the influenceon the private economy and enterprise management mode by Zhejiang and ShaanxiProvince Spiritual culture with detailed data.
