Regional Economy Disparities And Their Factors Of Zhejiang Province

Zhejiang province, the developing eastern coastal area of China, has achieved great success since China was opened up to the outside world. And the differences among the interior area has exposed. This article firstly analyses the difference of this area using the method of time sequence alter and conclude that not only absolute difference but also relative difference exist and are expanding in a whole. From the figure we could find it changing in wavelike form. During comparing the developing process of the relative difference with the whole economic development (per-capita GDP) we can say the economic trend of Zhejiang province confirm the theories of regional disparity expanding stage and regional disparity stable stage.By establishing indicators system, this article has principle components analysis on 68 units of Zhejiang province based on counties. According to the results, the 68 units of Zhejiang province is divided into 4 types, including developed county, relatively developed county, intermediately developed county, less-developed county. Then the article analyzes the region differences and finds that the differences among the main three regions and areas around Hang Zhou Bay are the most important compositive parts of regional economic difference. Also differences of the second industry become the most important source of the provincial economic difference. At last, the this study analyze the factors and find that geographical conditions, developmental base, system environment, economical structure ,investment and the effect of special economic development. The paper analyzes the reasons of region economy differences through regression analysis so as to provide logical evidence to the regional economic differences of Zhejiang province.Based on the systematically analysis on regional economic differences and its reasons, the thought on the control of regional economic differences, the paper proposes that the way to solve the regional disparity problem is coordinating the regional economic development under the present circumstance. The stability and coordination of Zhejiang economic development can be achieved through these channels, such as booming up the south-west area in Zhejiang as the fourth growth pole by strengthening the link of Hang Zhou, Ningbo and Wenzhou , making full use of their own industrial specials and advantages; establishing industry zones with their own feathers; strengthening the cooperation of poor counties and relatively developed counties; accelerating the adjustment the industry and its spatial structure with the second industry at core; promoting the shifting of economic growth pattern under the scientific concept of development.
