Research On The Key Factors Of Technology Source Acquire During Reverse Innovation

The concept of "reverse innovation" was first, proposed in2009, which first took place in developing countries and then successfully spread all over the world. Obviously, Reverse innovation’s significant feature is the whole process of innovation activities across borders. External technology sources are effective complement to internal R&D. There’s no doubt that acquisition of external technology sources have great significance for the successful implementation of reverse innovation activities.The purpose of this study is to build a theoretical model on the influencing factors of technology source with in-depth analysis of typical cases by grounded theory research. On this basis, this paper will do further development of empirical research, particularly, focus on the influencing mechanism entrepreneurs and the core team which are the key factors on technology source acquire.In the foundation of theoretical analysis, this article combines both the method of grounded analysis and empirical research. At the grounded analysis stage, on the basis of the extensive collection of data and information, exploring each one of the key elements in the process of technology source acquire on reverse innovation with grounded analysis and comparative analysis of typical cases, and factor characteristics of the elements which have major impact on respective technology source acquire, build the theoretical model of access to technology source. The model shows that recognition and confirms of technology sources’ channel, technology translation and maturation, the internalization and integration of the technology are the key elements of the technology source acquire. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs and core team have impact on the entire process.On the empirical research stage, go a step further to investigate the influence mechanism that entrepreneurs and core team obtain the technology resource, using theoretical analysis to build a research model, and with questionnaires, statistical analysis and other means to verify the hypothesis, as results the overall model have significant effects. Six explanatory variables all have positive significant effect on the performance of entrepreneur and the core team, and state that entrepreneurs and the core team’s role of theory are reflected in practice. Finally, this article presents the conclusion and the limitations of the study and proposes the corresponding solution in view of the limitations. The conclusion has certain significance practical guiding to latecomer firms.
