FDI as China’s "going out" strategy is an important part of development in recent years, despitewith a late start, but really quickly. China has become an important foreign investor in the internationalarena, and the development in2011for the first time surpassed Japan, plus it has a unique economiccharacteristics, FDI in China will keep as always in the coming years. FDI not only for the economy ofthe host country has a strong stimulating effect, but also the impact on the economy of the home country.This paper analyzes the FDI and industrial restructuring correlation analysis between Chinese andJapanese FDI in the relationship between the adjustment of industrial structure, the similarities anddifferences between the two countries. Got some experience for how to improve development of China’sFDI, how to play a role in promoting industrial restructuring, to better carry out FDI policyrecommendations.In this paper as the following: First, based on the previous experiences of the developedcountries’FDI, motivation of FDI, two aspects of the effect at home and abroad theory, empiricalresearch review and synthesis of reference and inadequacies. At the same time it as a part of thetheoretical basis of the present research work.Secondly, based on the time-series data, compared to thehistory of the development of Sino-Japanese FDI from the perspective of the scale of investment,industry, regional and methods and a comparative analysis of their current situation and characteristics,further illustrates the significance of this study. Third, empirical analysis of the Sino-Japanese FDI andindustrial restructuring. An empirical study on the relationship between China’s FDI and industrialrestructuring, there is a positive correlation between results show that the proportion of FDI and thesecond and tertiary industries; Japan’s FDI and the tertiary sector’s share of GDP, a positive correlation,then gray relational analysis Sino-Japanese FDI in the industry for the effects of industrial restructuring.Fourth, the empirical results of the analysis, FDI should be based on the level of the national industrialstructure adjustment and economic development, great importance in which industry, which is thelocation of investment, combined with the policy recommendations to be considered, so as to promotethe industrial structure adjust and optimize the FDI play a positive role.The innovation of this paper are:(1) use the correlation test and gray correlation analysis, analysisof the Sino-Japanese FDI and industrial restructuring;(2) through the comparison of Chinese andJapanese data analysis, learn the experience andinspiration, and put forward countermeasures and suggestions about policy and enterprise for FDI.
