Along with the development of information technology, the degree of integration withthe global economy is higher; the competition between the enterprises is also more andmore fierce. Today’s managers must quickly learn how to use the new business philosophyand management methods, namely Lean Six Sigma (Lean Six Sigma, abbreviated as LSS).Because Lean Six Sigma tells us, that quality, cost, and speed can be achieved together.Firstly, this thesis uses the theory of Lean Six Sigma tools and methods as theresearch direction, through the exposition of the theory of the Lean Production System andSix Sigma management, in-depth analysis of the Lean Production System and Six Sigmamanagement of their own characteristics, and both have in common, its essence is toeliminate waste. This paper discusses the advantages of the combination of LeanProduction and Six Sigma Management, as well as the major four elements of Lean SixSigma; and the key factors and steps on the implementation of Lean Six Sigmamanagement, etc. And then, combined with the actual situation of the L Company (China)Remote Operations Center, present the system for the remote operation center optimizationprogram. Based on facts and data as well as the detailed analysis of the systemoptimization program, the paper identifies the reasons of hindering employees’ workefficiency, design out the new working methods or improve existing operating processes/procedures, so that remote operations center staff will have more time to focus on how toimprove the operating efficiency of the operating equipment. Finally, this paper points outthat if we want to solve the bottleneck problem in the existing operation system, the LeanSix Sigma management philosophy is an effective management way. At the same time,Lean Six Sigma management philosophy should be decomposed into process managementwhich to establish standardized way in the day-to-day work, continue to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.What the possible innovation in this article is to use of Lean Six Sigma managementphilosophy to a department which is a far away from the actual production equipment butdo real24-hour operation continually. It is different with the implementation of Lean SixSigma on one pure production line; and it is also different with the implementation of LeanSix Sigma on one pure management department. Explore out the model and case of LeanSix Sigma implementation on the function supporting team, the ‘transition section’ whichis between the front-line production unit and the second-line management departments.
