In the process of economic globalization, the recombination of capital, resources, technology and labor to set up international division of labor system, countries with abundant capital and advanced technology transfer the domestic capital to achieve maximum benefits. Foreign direct investment is the most important economic phenomenon in the process of globalization, which is also the fundamental means of multinational companies for overseas expansion. At the same time of investor gain profit and occupy the market, the introduction of FDI countries also gain the advantage development capital, advanced technology, modern management skills, etc.,both are getting what they need.Since China’s reform and opening up, China’s utilization of FDI has experienced a pilot phase of small number, narrow range and more restrictions gradually developed into an open pattern of comprehensive, multi-level and wide-range. China’s economy as a successful transformation of the economy, which has been the most attracting FDI in developing countries since1990s, a massive inflow of FDI that provides a huge boost for China’s economic growth, technological progress, industrial upgrading, expanding employment and foreign trade development, and changes the economic structure, the industrial spatial structure, industrial organization structure and market structure in China, accelerates China’s economic integration with the world. On the basis of theoretical analysis, this paper uses the method of competitive state, and analyses the space distribution pattern, time and spatial evolution law of the utilization of FDI in China since the reform and opening up, it shows that China’s foreign capital utilization is experiencing a process of highly centralized distribution gradually shift to selectively diffusion. That is to say, when FDI spread to central and western regions, it mainly selects the cities these have good investment environment, for example, better economic development level, perfect infrastructure, intensive resources and preferential policies, those are mainly provincial capital city, municipality directly under the central government and resource-intensive.Secondly, article adopted preference degree and competition state model to analyze the changing trends and characteristics of foreign investment source in China, is that we can grasp the spatial and temporal structure of foreign investment source in China. Foreign investment source and the scale are gradually widening and continues to grow, on the whole, foreign investment source show the phenomenon of European preference in northern Chain and Asian preference in southern China, the diversity of China’s foreign investment source improved and the investment pattern of foreign investment source reshuffled. And by using data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to analyze the effect situation of foreign capital utilization in different regions, the efficiency of foreign capital utilization does not ideal in China, the integrated efficiency of foreign capital utilization experiences a process of "big dispersion, small concentration" coexists with "centralization-small scattered" gradually turned into the spatial distribution situation of "big focus-small scattered" as the leading factor, foreign capital utilization exist a phenomenon of redundancy and deficiencies. Finally, this paper analyzed the influence factors of spatial distribution of FDI in China, and discussed the motivation of influencing foreign capital transfer with the development of social and economic, and builds the "push-pull" model of location selection of foreign capital, the basic condition of foreign capital moving westward is the unity of opportunities for FDI can maximum profit and local has the ability to undertake foreign.
