On Socialized Supply Of Agricultural Product Information In Northwest China

Since agriculture industrialization has been performed in China, the management of the peasant family is from small and entire way to relative simplex professional and small-scale way. For planted crops, famers in terms of its own need depend on a variety of agricultural products information to make a decision.The characteristics of agricultural product information itself and the limitations of the farmers’family determine the farmers’family as an individual can’t supply information which they need. The single supplier of agricultural product information and the validityy utilization of information decide that the farmers’family obtain and use the effective agricultural product information to help make effective decisions which is very difficult. At present, the government is the main body providing agricultural products information, agricultural departments have also established corresponding organizations of agricultural products market information, but in the actual management decision of the farmers’family, the information provided by the government can’t effectively meet the needs of the farmers’family, not provide the practical help.In view of the above background, this paper bases on the field survey in Northwest China, investigates the farmers’family is how to make a decision, and agricultural products information plays an important role in the decision,as well as the price fluctuation of agricultural products implications the risk; and in this process, the supply situation of the agricultural product information is the key problem in this paper, and this paper analyzes the reasons of the problems from the theories of the government failure and market failure, and finally it discusses the social supply mechanism of agricultural product information from the theory of governance, that is, basing on determining the government responsibilities and standardizing the market behavior, social organization has its own advantages to provide agricultural product information.
