Tobacco enterprises in China are facing the international tobacco giant potential pressure of competition, and competition in the domestic cigarette industry. In order to avoid eliminated by mergers and acquisitions, Tobacco companies must improve the cigarette quality level to gain competitive advantage. Identify the key quality characteristics of cigarette manufacturing process, effective control and improve them, is an important factor to improve the quality of cigarettes. At present the research on key quality characteristics recognition is less concerned with the key quality characteristics of manufacturing process. The research on key quality characteristics recognition of the cigarette manufacturing process is fewer. Therefore, the study of key quality characteristics recognition of the cigarette manufacturing process, not only has the theoretical significance for the key quality characteristics recognition of manufacturing process. Also has a practical guiding significance for cigarette manufacturing enterprises to improve product quality level.The key quality characteristics and quality function deployment as theoretical basis; this paper systematically studied the method of key quality characteristics identification in the cigarette manufacturing process. Firstly, reviewed the research of key quality characteristics and the quality function deployment method’s application status, and then analyze the cigarette manufacturing process; Secondly, used the quality house and the four stage decomposition model as the basis, combined with the characteristics of cigarette manufacturing process, build a multi stage QFD identification model of the key quality characteristics of cigarette manufacturing process. Finally, taking A cigarette factory of Henan province as a case for empirical research of the multi-stage QFD recognition model, further verify the effectiveness of multi-stage QFD recognition model and method.The characteristics and innovation of this study is mainly manifested in:firstly, research concerned the identification of key quality characteristics of the cigarette manufacturing process, and build the multi-stage QFD recognition model. Provide technical support for the cigarette factories identify and extract the key quality characteristics of the cigarette manufacturing process. Secondly, the paper studied the method of using the multi-stage method of QFD recognition model to identify key quality characteristics of the cigarette manufacturing process. Thirdly, combined with the characteristics of the cigarette manufacturing process, divided the manufacturing process characteristics into the identification of tobacco process characteristics and the identification of wrapping process characteristics identification, divided the identification of quality characteristics of the manufacturing process into the identification of tobacco process quality characteristics and the identification of wrapping process quality characteristics. Optimized the multi-stage method of QFD recognition model and methods, improve the application and operation of the model and methods.
