This paper is based on the communication theory and combined with somesociology and psychology related theory, based on the farmers of Si Chuan provincerevolutionary areas as the research object, through the literature study andquestionnaire investigation methods, study of media ecological condition, mediadevelopment characteristics and information communication, farmers about the mediacontact behavior, the cognition and requirements of the media information, throughthe comparative study and relevance analysis method to study of the relationshipbetween media information communication and the farmer’s getting Rich in therevolution areas of Si Chuan. The main content of this paper studying is: farmers’cognition and requirements of the media information and farmers getting rich;Farmers’possessing media conditionand farmers getting rich; Farmers’ media contactfrequency and farmers getting rich; Farmers’ preference of media content and farmersgetting rich; Farmers’ different media selection and farmers getting rich; Farmersgetting rich business activities and media contact relationship.The overall study are the farmers who are living in Sichuan province, has56oldcounties that accounted for30.94%181county-level administrative units. We userandom sampling schemes study. Using a random sample of5counties in Zi Tong,Qiong Lai, Ping Wu, Ping Chang, Xuan Han. Each county randomly selected from1village, each village random sampling survey30questionnaires and then survey thecondition of everyone household unit. The total random sample is150copies,140effective samples, accounting for93.3%of the total.This subject crosses from the perspective of sociology and communication,composition and its relation with local social economic environment from the type of the old revolutionary areas of Sichuan Rural media, put forward the basicassumption of this research: in Si Chuan old revolutionary areas, the informationcommunication, existing imbalances of ecological structure and function of theinformation media, farmers demand is relevant with the local economic developmentspeed. The old revolutionary areas of Si Chun, with the development of informationtechnology, the main information communication and media information diversifiedsituation, the attitude of opinion leaders still influence on the general farmersacquisition and adoption of agricultural information.The results of this study show: the backward economy of region inevitably leadsto the backward of medium of information communication in Sichuan. In the oldrevolutionary areas, rural information communication is existing imbalances ofecological structure and function. Farmers demanded information intensity associatedwith local economic speed of the development. Farmers’ cognition of the media is onthe whole consistent of the development trend of the media in society. In Sichuan theold revolutionary areas, with the development of information technology, the maininformation communication and information media diversified situation, opinionleaders still have a significant impact on the general farmers access to and adoptionthe information.
