Zhoushan Port Logistics Development Strategy Research

With the union of the world economy and the adjustment of the world industrialstructures, and the explosion of the ocean, the development of Zhoushan port has been putinto the national policy to follow the trendy of the time. In recent years, the port logisticshas made a great progress and made a great contribution to the development of GDP. Asthe port logistics is adapted to the need of developing the Third Level and the Service, ithas been put to an important part by the local government, which leads to an intensivecompetition among the ports. Zhoushan port also has made great progress in acceleratingthe structure of reginal logistics center and formating a nearly comprehensive networksystem providing services for the national logistics. This paper focuses on providingsuggestions for the future development, based on the analysis of the development ofZhoushan port and the predictions of the throughput in the future.Based on the analysis of the international and domestic research, this paper introducesthe conception of the port logistic and the basic models of the port’s development; thenanalyze the details of Zhoushan port by using the SWOT model; and establish the systemof the evaluation of the port and put it into practice to analyze Zhoushan port; at last, basedon the data got from the evaluation, put up the suggestions for future development forZhoushan port.
